Who knows what these three games have in common? (Aside from the genre, of course. That’s too obvious.)

Another set completed— this time, it’s the Tony Hawk series for the original PlayStation. The Greatest Hits variants were the tougher finds for me.
Three more original PlayStation games came today.
— The Greatest Hits variant of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 is another instance of GH being more valuable than Black Label — I paid $15 for Adidas Power Soccer 98. PriceCharting shows $40+. Win! — The jewel case variant of ThunderStrike 2 is less common.
Is it Friday yet? I’ve got my Centipede shirt on for motivation, but it’s not really working.
Mondays during the summer are long, especially this time of year after summer school has started but before student rosters can be looked at for the upcoming academic year.
Oh, hey. It’s a bin of Wii games I forgot I had. A very… odd assortment.
I had scaled way down on Wii awhile back before rebuilding the collection after I moved into my new house. This set of 30+ games is a bit of a boost, albeit random in quality.
Playing the 10-Yard Fight coin-op while chilling in bed is stuff I could only dream about when I was a kid.
But here we are.
Calling it now: THPS 3&4 will be the last of the series remakes after the strongly divisive reception it’s garnered. Additionally, the missions and content in the Underground & American Wasteland games would draw a lot of criticism/derision these days.
2025 marks 10 years for RetroWorld Expo. It’s been great to see the show expand over the years. The heart of the event is still beating as strongly as it did in the beginning. I’m making plans to go— maybe even to help out, if needed.
A video game console isn’t bad or overrated because you don’t like it. Posting such on socials doesn’t make it any more valid, except for the engagement you’re begging for by willfully posting it.
You ≠ everyone. Try acknowledging a broader perspective.
While many players know of Irem’s 10-Yard Fight from its NES conversion, the coin-op original is a much different experience. It’s all offense and a race against a constantly ticking down timer. A fun kind of pressure that the NES version sorely lacks.
I was only 9 years old at the time, so I would’ve been a spectator. I was also horrible at Centipede.
In my later adult years, though, I’ve become a little bit better. Not championship material, but not a lost cause, either. I definitely enjoy it more now than back then.
So I did a thing today.
peteskerritt.net is a new blog that I’ll be posting to, which will then share those posts to my socials. It’s from micro.blog, which touts a cross posting service while hosting your stuff on its own website.
So far, so good.
